I was told at the outset that DC neither expected nor needed the book to sell huge numbers it was aiming at the long-term goal of bringing in new, younger readers. YJ was intended to skew young-in its stories, in its subject matter, in its readership-with the notion that it would draw in younger readers who would eventually "graduate" to the older-skewing titles. The aspect that Dan perpetually leaves out of his two-part evisceration of "Young Justice" is that YJ was specifically designed to appeal to a younger readership. And second he asserted that "Slobo" ruined the character of Lobo. First he complained about the quality of the book's sales, stating that a book which features such iconic characters should have far higher numbers. A message buried deep in the Bush thread asked me to comment on Dan Didio's various assertions about "Young Justice" in a Heroes Con interview quoted on Newsarama.

Part-treasure hunt and part-noir, The Sandman explores dreamscapes both macabre and surrealist, culminating in a sweeping drama that spans across genres. Iconic imagery of the titular Sandman, Morpheus. Everyone involved in the show clearly has a great deal of passion for the style of fantastical dreams that make The Sandman one of the best graphic novels of all time. When Morpheus finally breaks free, he must go on an epic quest across multiple dimensions to get his power back. Humans are then stricken with all sorts of odd sleep maladies. It begins in the early 20th century, when Morpheus, Dream of the Endless (played by Sturridge), is captured by dark magic occultists and spends over a century trapped in The Waking World while his realm crumbled, allowing creatures from The Dreaming to run amok. Netflix’s The Sandman retells Volumes 1 and 2 of the comics - “Preludes & Nocturnes” and “The Doll’s House” - with only minor tweaks. The devotion and care is palpable in the finished product. Instead of taking “creative liberties” with its 26-Eisner-awards-winning source material, Neil Gaiman’s vision and narrative have been masterfully adapted. This may be one of the most faithful adaptations ever attempted by a streaming platform. So there I was thinking of dnfing because I was getting bored, but I pushed on and was surprised to find that I enjoyed the second half. I felt like the info dump slowed the book down and at times I got bored. On top of all that info there was development of the hero Vin, the heroine Marie Therese, the demon Devina, and the plot. There was also lot of character development for Jim, who is not the hero but will be in all the books. The first half of the book had a lot of world building. Ward wrote it I would love it, but it was just okay for me. I would say it's more of an Urban Fantasy with some romance in it. Going into this read I thought it was going to be a romance with some angels in it. Now if I am going to be honest I will say that the reason I am reading this series is because there are rumors that the villain Devina might be crossing over to BDB and I wanted to know about her so I wouldn't be confused. Don't read this series expecting it to be like BDB at all. That being said this book wasn't like the Black dagger Brotherhood Series that I adore. Ward and I think she is a super talented author. Okay so I want to start this review by saying that I love J.R. Let's be clear, they were definitely NOT setting up a trap for some succulent, poorly supervised little girl called Goldilocks who may wander by. Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs is a new take on the fairy-tale classic Goldilocks and the Three Bears, so funny and so original-it could only come from the brilliant mind of Mo Willems, the author/illustrator of Dont Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and the Elephant and Piggie series. Once upon a time, there were three hungry dinosaurs: Papa Dinosaur, Mama Dinosaur and. This story is also a good springboard into the topic of home and furniture. The illustrations have lots of fun things to discover. Kids who are familiar with the original version, find this one hilarious. Have you ever heard the story of Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs? A Scot to the Heart by Caroline Linden is a lovely historical romance about putting love first. She had keenly explored the genres of Western, adventure, and science fiction in the books she had read earlier in her life, yet she realized that these books lacked strong female characters. Her background in history and economics, as well as her experiences in Nigeria, have had a profound impact on her work. "Charnas' work focuses on the sociological and the anthropological rather than exclusively the technological dimensions of science fiction.
